Quick answer: Mykonos Nautilus and Maison Asrar Legacy are both linked to Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman, and on paper they are very close: pear, ginger, bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom, amber, musk and vanilla appear in both. What separates them is detail and weight. Nautilus adds mandarin, carries pear into its heart and dries down on guaiac wood and ambroxan; it is a strong extrait for summer. Legacy is a moderate eau de parfum, more floral and ambery, listed from spring to autumn and for work.
Mykonos Nautilus vs Maison Asrar Legacy is the pairing with the most overlap in our Blue Talisman group. In our roundup of Nautilus, Executor, Enforcer and Legacy, Legacy shared more notes with Nautilus than either Bujairami scent. Here we go further: we count the shared notes, look at the few that differ and ask what those small differences mean for when and how you would wear each one. We sell Mykonos and not Maison Asrar, so we are not neutral, and a note list cannot show you how either will behave on your skin.
What they have in common
Mykonos Nautilus is inspired by Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman; that is the line on its product page. Maison Asrar Legacy is widely described as inspired by Blue Talisman: it is regularly named among the closest alternatives to it, and the fragrance database Parfumo lists the two together. Legacy was launched in 2025.
On paper the overlap is unusually large. Eight notes appear in both pyramids:
- Top: pear, ginger and bergamot.
- Heart: jasmine and orange blossom.
- Base: amber, musk and vanilla.
Even the order largely matches: fruit and spice first, white flowers in the middle, a warm amber and vanilla base. Both are unisex, and both are listed for summer, daily wear and evenings. That is what a shared inspiration explains. It does not make them one perfume; the handful of notes that differ, and the way each is built, still set them apart. The top: one extra note
Both open on pear, ginger and bergamot. Legacy's description puts it as the sweetness of the pear held in balance by the spicy freshness of the ginger. Nautilus adds mandarin orange, so its opening has a little more citrus juice around the pear. Mykonos frames the whole scent as oceanic summer freshness, and the mandarin is part of that brighter start.
The heart: the pear stays, or woods arrive
Jasmine and orange blossom are in both hearts. The difference is what sits with them. Nautilus lists pear a second time, so the fruit does not leave with the top notes; its story sums it up as soft pear and ginger over orange blossom. Legacy lets the pear go and sets its flowers on woody notes, which its description calls an elegant, romantic backbone. On paper, Legacy's middle is the more floral, Nautilus's the more fruity.
The base: two extra notes in Nautilus
Amber, musk and vanilla close both. Nautilus adds guaiac wood and ambroxan. Guaiac wood is dry and slightly smoky, and ambroxan has a warm, mineral, skin-like quality, so together they give Nautilus a woodier, more defined finish. Legacy's musk, amber and vanilla on their own make for a softer, rounder close, which fits its oriental floral label.
Where they differ
- Strength. Nautilus is an extrait de parfum rated strong; Legacy is an eau de parfum rated moderate. That gap matters more than any single note.
- Season. Nautilus is listed for summer only; Legacy for spring, summer and autumn.
- Fruit or flowers. Nautilus keeps pear in two tiers and adds mandarin; Legacy puts its weight on jasmine and orange blossom over woods.
- The drydown. Guaiac wood and ambroxan make Nautilus woodier at the end; Legacy finishes softer, on musk, amber and vanilla alone.
- Occasions. Nautilus is tagged for special occasions; Legacy is tagged for work.

Wearing Mykonos Nautilus
Nautilus belongs to the Sunforged collection and comes in 100 ml only; see the whole line in our Sunforged collection. Mykonos describes it as fresh on the surface and powerful in the depths, and with a strong intensity rating, two sprays are a good place to start. Apply to the neck and chest and leave it alone rather than rubbing it in; pear and citrus are the first notes to fade, so there is no reason to hurry them along.
