Gourmand fragrances smell of things you could eat: vanilla, caramel, coffee, milk, bakery. They are the family people either wear constantly or avoid entirely, and the gap between "comforting" and "too much" is narrower here than anywhere else in perfume. This compares ours along that spectrum.
The soft end: milky and powdery
Milk Drops, after Commodity's Milk, is the quietest gourmand we make. It is also the only one tagged moderate rather than strong in intensity. If you find most sweet fragrances overwhelming, this is where to start.
Pink Drops follows Giardini di Toscana's Bianco Latte — still soft and milky, a touch sweeter.
Vanilla Clouds is an original composition rather than an inspired one, and does what the name says: vanilla without the bakery.
The middle: coffee, tea and dessert
Cafe Drops, after Kayali's Vanilla 28, is the vanilla-forward one most people picture when they hear "gourmand".
Matcha Latte takes from Maison Margiela REPLICA's Matcha Meditation and is the odd one out in the best way — green and slightly bitter against the sweetness, which makes it far more wearable in daylight than the rest of this list.
Caramel Fudge Cookie is exactly as advertised and the sweetest thing we make. An original composition, and firmly a winter fragrance.
The dark end: smoke, wood and tobacco
This is where gourmand stops being dessert. These are all tagged Gourmand and Woody & Vanilla, which tells you most of what you need to know.
Bonfire Vanilla, after Maison Margiela REPLICA's By The Fireplace, is smoke and vanilla together — the classic autumn fragrance and the easiest entry point for someone who normally dislikes sweet scents.
Untamed takes direction from Byredo's Bal d'Afrique Absolu. Unusually for this group it is tagged spring and summer rather than winter, which makes it the gourmand to reach for when it is warm.
Aphrodite sits at the far edge — a hybrid of Kilian's Angels' Share and Maison Margiela REPLICA's Jazz Club, with tobacco, myrrh and burnt cinnamon over vanilla and sandalwood. Sweet, but in the way a cigar bar is sweet.

Two practical notes
Heat is not their friend. Sweetness amplifies in warm weather and can tip into cloying. Most of these are tagged autumn and winter for that reason — see choosing a perfume by season.
Apply less than you would a citrus. Gourmands are dense and most of ours are extrait concentration, so they last. Two sprays is usually enough; four is a decision you are making for everyone in the room.
