Constantine is an extrait de parfum in the floral and fruity families, with an aromatic, green and floral accord. It opens with cardamom, violet leaf, pineapple and mandarin orange. Mykonos Reflection Elixir: the juicy half
Reflection Elixir is an extrait in the citrus and fruity families, with a citrus, floral and musky accord. It opens with grapefruit, bergamot, ginger and rhubarb leaves. The heart softens into ylang-ylang, peach and magnolia, and the base is ambroxan, musk and a chypre accord.
It is unisex and moderate in intensity, with strong sillage, strong projection and a longevity of 12+ hours. It is tagged for all four seasons and for daily, evening and work wear. Mykonos layering: what Citrus Veil smells like
The official result notes are grapefruit, pineapple, ylang-ylang, magnolia, lily of the valley and white musk. That adds up to a juicy citrus-and-fruit opening, a smooth white-floral middle and a clean, musky finish. Compared with Reflection Elixir alone, Constantine's pineapple and lily of the valley make it rounder and cleaner. Compared with Constantine alone, the grapefruit, ylang-ylang and magnolia make it juicier and smoother.
The two share fewer notes than you might expect; musk is the only one in both pyramids. The bridge is in the florals and the base. Constantine's lily of the valley and jasmine sit comfortably next to the ylang-ylang and magnolia of Reflection Elixir, and both finish on musk. Constantine's cardamom, lavender and artemisia bring the clean, slightly soapy side; the ginger and rhubarb leaves in Reflection Elixir keep the citrus crisp.
As with any combination, the official notes describe the intended balance, and notes on paper are not the same thing as skin. Wear it for an hour before you decide.
How to layer them
- Reflection Elixir first, one spray. Both are rated moderate, but Reflection Elixir has the stronger sillage and projection ratings and the denser base of ambroxan and chypre accord, so it goes underneath. One spray on the chest or at the base of the throat.
- Let it dry for a minute, without rubbing.
- Constantine on top, one or two sprays, on the sides of the neck. This is the veil: its clean heart sits over the citrus.

Swap the Elixir for the original Reflection. It shares two notes with Constantine, cardamom and lily of the valley, and brings grapefruit, ginger, bergamot and marine notes over musk, patchouli, amber and ambroxan.
